Anna DeShawn Rainey is a Chicago-born social entrepreneur, culture critic, sports enthusiast, and community lover. Anna made her passion a reality when she founded E3 Radio in 2004. E3 Radio is a college radio network which prides itself on producing authentically-edgy socially conscious media. E3 never utilizes voice-over specialist, the voices listeners hear are from those persons personally affected by the issue being discussed. E3 Radio believes you must create authentic programming in order to create real change. Anna is determined to ride radio into its next era by utilizing the Internet to tell the stories of underrepresented people around the world. Soon after E3 was started, Anna founded RainHead Communications. RHC is a communication design and consultant company. RHC designs and produces websites, communication collateral, provide communication consulting, and much much more. My World, My Dreams is the project that brings everything together. Started in 2009, MWMD is a not-for-profit that blends public health awareness and multimedia production to ensure a healthier and empowered tomorrow. RMC Consulting and E3 Radio combined efforts in hopes to inspire people to live healthier lives through workshops, programs, and media campaigns.

Anna is an alum of Vanderpoel Elementary ‘97, Luther South High School ‘01, Drake University ‘05, and Ithaca College ‘07. She gives unmeasureable thanks to those who’ve come before and laid the path for her to achieve her dreams. Anna believes the best is yet to come.
